(Age group served 15 months – 5 years)
Schedules help young children feel comfortable and confident. A consistent schedule will be followed with a 2 hour of uninterrupted work period that will happen daily for the children. The schedule may be adjusted or modified to best support the development of the children in the classroom.
* Hand wash hinge to occur between activities, especially after potty use, before meals, after/before snack prep, after outdoor play, etc.
MORNING SCHEDULE

7:30 – 9:00 am

Free Choice / Morning Drop Off
(Parents are required to drop off by 8:45 the latest to avoid disrupting Work Period)
After a quiet morning drop off, potty use and washing hands; students will be free to manipulate material and explore the prepared environment. Typically most children arrive during this time period.

9:00 - 11:00 am

Work Period
* During work period, children do independent work and explore the classroom environment. Teachers will begin toileting, give one on one lessons and provide individual instruction and record observations.
* Children can have snack or use the potty at any time during this period.

11:00 – 11:15 am

Circle Time (15 min)
* Music will be played to transition children into walking on the line and seating in the line for our morning song.
* Teacher directed circle time, students will have language developments with songs, large group lessons, and/or movement.
A – Walking on the line - develops large motor, concentration skill development
B - Good Morning Song, student is greeted individually.
C – Calendar/weather – students (1) stand by window to report how weather is.
D – Presentation – (Authentic Montessori Material in the Areas of Practicl Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Cultural and Social Studies, Zoology or Botany)
E – Meditation (ex. breathing, close eyes, lift arms and listen as music fades down)
F – Listening - 1 child at a time is prompted to get up and choose own work.

11:20 – 12:20 noon

Outside Play
*Children will transition outside into play area in an orderly manner. Potty use before outdoor time.
Children are engaged in large motor development, includent independent play and community play.

Toddlers Transition into the Classroom
*Children change into indoor shoes, wash their hands, toileting and begin diaper change followed by lunch preparation.

* Children set up table (mat, flower base, utensils, cups, plates, towel).

Lunch Clean Up & Transition
*Children will be supported in cleaning up their lunch dishes, use the bathroom, set up sleeping beds.

Nap Time
* Bed set up, potty use, good night song or listen to a story then take a nap/quiet time.

3:00- 3:15 am

Wake up from nap
*Children with the aid of the teacher will clean up beddings & blankets, will use the bathroom, wash their hands.

Snack Time
* Community snack preparation or a student preparing and sharing snack.

Free choice or work time
* Children will have free play time or can choose from the available work.
